Saving Money With Energy-Efficient Honeycomb Shades
The Hunter Douglas Duette Architella honeycomb shade is the most energy-efficient window covering on the market today. The shade’s cell-within-a-cell construction helps you keep your environment comfortable by acting as an insulation barrier to help maintain a consistent temperature and reducing solar heat gain from the sun in the summer. Incredibly, in the summer, solar heat gain on an uncovered window is almost 76%. When you use Duette Architella, it drops to only 15%. The best part is that it will help you save on energy bills!
How to Get the Tax Credit
You must purchase and have the products installed before December 31, 2016. The tax credit is for 10% of the purchase price (not including sales tax and measuring and installation fees), up to $500. $500 is the maximum combined total amount that can be claimed for all purchases of qualifying energy-efficient products placed in service during this period. This is subject to reduction in the amount of Section 25C tax credits taken in prior years. The tax credit is subject to a lifetime limitation of $500.
