The Hunter Douglas Design Studio lets you craft a truly “for you” window fashion that will fit your décor and style needs to a T. You’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of fabrics that add drama, depth, and style. Plus, if you want professional help, the experts at Hunter Douglas offer suggestions for coordinating or complementary looks. Plus, they’ll offer ideas about fabric families, so you know your final choices will work together well. Even better, you can find hardware and accessories that will give your window treatment project a fully rounded look.
Design Your Own Roman Shades
The Design Studio offers three types of Roman Shade. You can choose the most traditional style, the flat fold, which has no horizontal seams. When this type of shade is lowered, it lies flat, and when it’s raised, it has folds. It works bests with fabrics that have large, bold patterns or stripes. You could also choose the batten front style, which has horizontal pleats (battens) that add dimension and visual interest. This style is best suited to solid or textured fabrics. The final style is batten back, which puts the battens in the back, creating a tailored look when lowered. If you have transitional or contemporary décor, this is a great option. Your best bet for fabrics would be anything solid or something with subtle patterns or textures.
