About Applause® Honeycomb Shades
Originally developed in 1985, honeycomb shades continue to be popular today. They offer superior privacy, insulation, and light control, and they’ll help keep a room cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Applause honeycomb shades offer energy savings at an affordable price as well as the quality of the Hunter Douglas brand. Although many brands of honeycomb shade are created with one cell, Applause is created with a double cell, which offers increased insulation over that regular single-cell construction. Applause can be customized for specialty shaped windows, including angles, arches, skylights, ovals, and more. Plus, if you need a treatment for a vertically oriented opening, such as a slider, French doors, or a patio door, you’ll be able to find the perfect complementary solution with the Vertiglide™ operating system, which essentially turns the honeycomb fabric vertical.
Operating Systems
As with other honeycomb offerings, Applause is available with a variety of operating systems. Among others, you can choose from UltraGlide®, LiteRise®, EasyGlide™, and PowerView®, as well as the option of using top-down/bottom-up operation.
