Making Design Accessible
Rebecca Atwood is known for her bestselling design book, Living with Pattern: Color, Texture, and Print at Home, which offers clear ideas for how to use pattern to decorate the home. You’ll find that she is an artist who blends traditional techniques with hand-painting. She offers a namesake collection of home goods, including fabrics, pillows, and accessories, all designed to let customers mix and match how they see fit. Atwood says, “Creating patterns, textures, and color for the home is all about creating an environment that makes us feel good.”
The Partnership
All good collaborations will excite. And it’s no different with this one, which will allow consumers to select a complete and signature look at their windows. In its inaugural featured-artist series, The Design Studio™ will offer eight of Rebecca’s designs. Customers can choose from light-filtering or room-darkening options in side panels, draperies, and roller and Roman shades. “When creating this collection, I wanted to revisit traditional patterns, as well as soft textural patterns that are easy to layer into any space. Natural light is a luxury—it makes everything look better—and window treatments become such an important part of the room,” said Atwood. All of the fabrics in the collection are designed to coordinate with many different Hunter Douglas window treatments, so adding something new to your room will be seamless. The launch is coming soon, so be sure to check in on the availability of the new fabrics.
